Dr. Tuncer Hepsen is the founder of the HEPSEN COMPANIES, who was born in 1947.
He
graduated from the Technical University of Istanbul in 1970, and
began working at Cekmece Nuclear Research and Training Center (CNAEM)
in the same year.He has awarded the right to have doctor title after
completing each stage of doctoral studies on the subject of “Uranium
recovery from lignite” ash in 1156 session of the I.T.U senate in 1977.
- He worked on Uranium processing in
materials department of “ Junta Energia Nuclear” in Madrid with the
International Atomic Energy Agency Fellowship Programme and he had
certificate in 1977-1978.
- In 1980 he resigned from CNAEM and
participated to Niksan A.Ş on the basis of a partnership and installed
nickel sulphate production plant that was the first in Turkey.
- In 1982, Dr Tuncer Hepşen resigned from
Niksan A.Ş and founded own plant in Balcık Gebze region and private
company in Istanbul for the production of electrolyte used especially
pile and battery industies such as Berec,Varta,Pertix,Pilma-Tudor and
flux for galvanizing.This production was the first in Turkey.
All the requirements of these companies was
supplied by HEPSEN KIMYA SAN.VE TIC. in that years.He continued to
carry out activities with the production of lead nitrate, metallic zinc
powder and some other chemicals such as Zinc Amonium Chloride (powder
and liqued) Zinc Chloride(Powder and liqued) and zinc oxide in the
second plant launched in Gebze -Dilovası industrial zone. The company
name has been converted to limited company since 1986. Third plant was
constructed on 30.000 m2 land in the first industrial zone in Bilecik,
and has been producing zinc oxide ,zinc metal, zinc powder, zinc alloy,
zinc ball and zamak .Expecially zinc oxide production was carried out
not only using recycling materials but also using SHG and HG Zinc and
with French Process(FP; indirect heating) and American Process
(A.P;direct heating)
Fourth plant was launched
in Bilecik second Industrial zone on 29.000 m2 open area, 8000 m2
indoor area, for the production of every grade of zinc oxide and
especially zinc oxide feed grade ( % 72 Zinc ) In additon to these
production, recyle zinc from zinc ash and drosses and recyle zinc
oxide from chimney powder (as a, second grade ZnO) metallic copper from
brass ash has been producing
Fifth Plant, HEPŞEN METAL
VE BİLEŞENLERİ PAZ.SAN.TİC.A.Ş. founded in 2020, on 27.000 m2 land and
11.000 m2 indoor area.
This new plant began the production on July 2023.Novadays reached full
capacity and has been producing French Process(FP) zinc oxide with huge
capacity ( 42 French Process Unit) zinc oxide as mentioned in the
